Put GO! on your classroom TV

Any Fire TV Stick, onn box or Apple TV

Get a streaming device▶
Any Amazon Fire TV Stick, an onn box from Walmart, or an Apple TV works. Roku does not. See Choosing a Device.
Plug it in and connect to Wi-Fi▶
Plug the device into the classroom TV and connect it to your church Wi-Fi.
Install FreePlay▶
Open the app store on the TV, search for FreePlay, and choose Get or Install. Direct links: Amazon Appstore, Google Play, Apple TV.
Open FreePlay▶
Open the app once. You're done with the TV for now.

Schedule your GO! lessons in B1

Your free B1 account, your classroom and your GO! lessons

Start at b1.church▶
Go to b1.church and click Get Started Free.
Register▶
Enter your name and email and click Register. Enter the six digit code B1 emails you, then set a password.
Add your church▶
Search for your church in case it's already there. If not, click Register a New Church, enter your church name and address, and click Save.
Open Set up FreePlay▶
In B1 Admin, click the search bar at the top, type FreePlay, and click Set up FreePlay.
Name your ministry and classroom▶
Name your ministry (like Kids Ministry) and your classroom (like K Room), and click Create & Continue.
Connect GO! Curriculum▶
Click Link New Provider and choose GO! Curriculum. Sign in with your GO! account and you'll come right back to B1.
Schedule one lesson▶
Click Schedule Lesson, then Schedule Lesson again. Pick the Sunday and click Select Lesson.
Choose the GO! lesson▶
Click GO! Curriculum, choose Elementary or Preschool, then pick a series and this week's lesson. Click the blue button, then Save.
Or schedule the whole series▶
Click Schedule Lesson, then Bulk Schedule. Pick the first lesson and a start date, and B1 fills in one lesson each week.

Connect your TV

A four letter code, typed once

Sign in to FreePlay Admin▶
Go to admin.freeplay.church and sign in with the same email and password you use for B1.
Get the code from the TV▶
On the TV, open FreePlay, choose Settings at the bottom, then Pair to a calendar. The TV shows a four letter code.
Pair the screen▶
On the website, click Pair screen, type the code, and name the screen (like K Room TV).
Make its classroom group▶
Open the Group menu, choose New group, name it after your classroom, and click Pair.

Make a playlist▶
In FreePlay Admin, click the search bar and click Playlists. Click Add playlist, name it (like Kids Worship), and click Add playlist.
Add songs from Lessons.church▶
Under Add from provider, choose Lessons.church, click Add-Ons, open a folder, click a song, then click its video to add it.
Or use your own videos▶
Click Connect another and connect Dropbox, then pick your videos from there.
Put them in order▶
Drag the songs into the order you want, and click Save.

Run the TV on a schedule

Worship before class, then the GO! lesson, every Sunday

Open your classroom's calendar▶
In FreePlay Admin, click the search bar, click Calendar, and select your classroom (like K Room).
Worship before class▶
Click Add schedule. Under Play, choose your worship playlist. Pick Sunday, 8:30 to 9:00, and click Save.
The lesson at class time▶
Click Add schedule again. Under Play, choose your classroom's lesson (it says current plan). That always plays whatever lesson you picked in B1 that week. Pick Sunday, 9:00 to 9:45, choose Teacher paced, and click Save.
Saturday check▶
In FreePlay Admin, open Screens. Your TV should say Ready through a date after Sunday. That means everything is downloaded, so it doesn't need the internet in the morning.
Sunday▶
Worship starts on its own at 8:30. At 9:00 the lesson comes up by itself. Videos play on their own, and your teacher presses the right arrow to move through the slides.

Pick the next lesson in B1, or schedule the whole series once and you're done for weeks.

Give your teachers the lesson on their phones

Create a teacher group▶
Click the search bar at the top left, type group, and choose Create a group. Name it after the room (e.g. K Room Teachers) and click Create & Continue.
Add your teachers▶
On the new group, click All members. Under Add Person, search for each teacher and click the add button. When B1 asks, click Send Invite so they can get into the app.
Link your teacher group to the classroom▶
Click the search bar at the top left (or press Ctrl+K), type plans, and click Plans. Open your ministry, then your classroom (like K Room). Under Associated Groups, click Add Group, pick your teacher group, and click Add.
Make sure the app has a Groups tab▶
Search navigation and click App navigation. If there’s no Groups tab, click Add Tab, name it Groups, set the type to My Groups, and click Save.
Send teachers the install link▶
Search settings and click Settings. Under your church’s name is your B1 address (like yourchurch.b1.church). Add /mobile/install to the end and send that link to your teachers. They tap it and the app goes on their home screen.
Teachers open Groups → their class▶
In the app, teachers tap Groups and open their class. Every scheduled week is listed under Plans.
Tap Teach▶
They open this Sunday’s plan and tap Teach. The whole lesson is on their phone: every section, video and script.

Share the lesson with parents

Create a parent group▶
Click the search bar at the top left (or press Ctrl+K), type group, and choose Create a group. Name it after the classroom (e.g. Parents of K Room) and click Create & Continue.
Add parents▶
On the new group, click All members and add parents under Add Person. One group per classroom you want to reach.
Link it to the classroom▶
Search plans, open your ministry, then your classroom. Under Associated Groups, click Add Group, choose the parent group, and click Add.
Set it to Past plans only▶
Change the parent group’s Shows dropdown to Past plans only. Parents can review what kids just learned, but won’t see next week’s lesson before Sunday.
Parents find it in the app▶
Parents open the B1 app, tap Groups, open their group, and look under Plans to see past lessons all week.
